It has been a while since we spoke about the Gorillaz, the English virtual band that I
represent. Since we spoke, the band’s return album of Humanz has dropped on April 28th, and the
Humanz European Tour has been announced for November. The album has already been met
with great acclaim, with reviews like the following from Kenneth Partridge of Paste Magazine:
“The result: the most vibrant, consistently engaging Gorillaz album yet.” I’m excited for an
opportunity to discuss the return in greater detail, and I hope you can find a spot for an interview
in your busy schedule.
Many, including the editors across Europe, are buzzing with the new tour announced by
the band to celebrate their return. They have found my work an innovative approach to the
band’s return. I have covered several major events since their return, including their virtual
interview with Telekom Electronic Beats.
The release of Humanz heralds the long-awaited return of the virtual band after their
seven year hiatus. Having maintained an incredibly popular following over the course of their
career, the return with Humanz has been met with critical acclaim from fans and critics alike.
I am enclosing a media kit, which includes sample press releases, a business card, a bio
and tip sheet for the band and upcoming show in Quebec, and art samples of Gorillaz comics. All
of this can be used to facilitate the public return of the band, and stir up great revenue for the city
by drawing them to Milwaukee.
