Easy Doll Shirt or Dress


1. Cut 2 (for Dress add length as desired)
2. With RSF, sew from A to B, pivoting on the corner. Repeat on opposite side.
3. Open out from seam, and hem sleeves.
4. With RSF, sew from C to D as before. Repeat on opposite side.
5. Hem bottom edge of shirt.
6. Cut slits in corners at neck and underarm.
7. Fold raw edge at neck under and sew in elastic with a zig zag stitch,
pulling elastic tight.

To adapt:
Body Width: Measure the circumference of the doll at it’s widest
point and add a couple inches. Divide by 4 for the bottom edge
of the pattern.
Neck Width: Measure the circumference of the doll’s head and
add an inch. Divide by 4 for the top edge of the pattern.
Arm Width: Measure the circumference of the doll’s arm/hand at
it’s widest point and add a half inch. Divide by 2 for the wrist
edge of the pattern.
Adust length of shirt and sleeve as desired.

Easy Doll Pants
1. Cut 2.
2. Hem each leg.
3. Fold each leg again and sew inseams.
4. Turn one leg right side out and
insert it in the other leg lining up seams.
5. Sew around crotch.
6. With pants wrong side out, fold waist band under
twice and sew from back center all the way around,
leaving a small opening in the back.
7. Attach a safety pin to the end of your elastic and
thread through waist.
8. Pull elastic to gather waist so that
it will fit snugly around doll’s waist. Overlap ends and sew
together with a zig zag stitch.
9. Close opening in waist band.

To adapt:
Leg Width: Measure the circumference of the doll’s leg at it’s
widest point and an inch. Divide in half for the bottom edge
of the pattern.
Length: Measure from waist to ankle and add an inch.
Adjust crotch depth proportionally.
