 Works with students from an urban background, English Language Learners (5
different languages in my classroom), and students who have disabilities.
 Aligns objectives and goals with Common Core Standards along with designing
lessons based off student’s individual developmental, academic, and social needs.
 Demonstrates classroom management skills.
 Collaborates and communicates student progress with students, parents, and fellow
colleagues in parent-teacher conferences, IEP meetings, READ plans, and grade-level
curriculum meetings.
 Works in an ISSN (International Studies School Network) school with the goal of
developing globally competent students, articulating the knowledge and skills
students need for the 21st century. Creates globally competent students through four
domains of: investigating the world, recognizing perspectives, communicating ideas,
and taking action.
 Active member of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports), a committee of educators
who aids in data-based problem-solving and decision making for supporting students
so that they may succeed.
 Participates in ILT (Instructional Leadership Team), a school leadership team who
analyzes and evaluates data to make instructional and academic decisions, plan
professional development, recommend and design the school’s master schedule,
communicates recommendations and decisions to faculty, collaborates with
administration, and helps recommend use of funds that supports school priorities.
