Picture description
 Tch elicits ideas to describe the picture on page 22.
 Tch refers ss to the strategies for reading comprehension and asks ss to read the text
to get the general idea. Then she refers ss to the questions and asks them to highlight
the ideas that showed them the answers in pairs.

Tch introduces the meaning of a soap opera and briefly elicits information from ss about
soap operas and other free time activities.
Tch reminds ss about the strategies for listening activities and plays the recording twice for
them to listen for gist, and then for detail. (The rest of the page, as well as looking the
vocabulary up in the dictionary is for homework.)
