Dear Rachel Prosser,

My name is Yuejia Zha, I enclose my CV for consideration for the internship application. I am a
postgraduate student at King’s College London, my major is Education in Arts and Cultural settings.
I am looking for an internship which is related to my course because I am doing an accredited
internship module which is being assessed as part of my degree program.

I believe the importance of arts lies in its ability of catching and expressing the feelings and ideas
that cannot be given forms by our languages. For the past four years, I have studied piano, dance,
cello and music theories and I obtained high scores in many modules of my undergraduate program,
it has let me acquire a solid foundation in arts education. In order to enhance my knowledge of this
field, I have also managed to get a national teaching license of arts education through hard study.
Out of the campus, I have taught arts including performance and music in several institutions such
as school, art training center and musical instrument store, my teaching object including children
and adults. In addition to my experience with arts education, another equally important factor
attracting me to your organization is I like photographing, film, gallery cultures as well as exhibition
art, and I believe that art is interacted and interlinked no matter which type of arts, art comes from
life, although in the past four years I was focus on music, I like discovering, like creating, like classical
things also creative things. The amazing and unique arts cultures of the UK also contributes to my
wish to apply your space, I saw many interesting events and creative artists on your website, I really
interested in your workshops, this make me remind my childhood that my grandfather taught me
watercolor paintings. During my internship, I want to deepen my understanding of arts, and explore
it especially in the case of activities organization. That is the reason for my application for Dulwich
Picture Gallery.

Furthermore, during my undergraduate degree, I worked in the student union and organized a
variety of literary and artistic activities in universities, so I am familiar with the activities process. I
like cooperating, like activities planning, I can provide gallery and exhibition information in activities
or events, helping guide people during events or assist with directors during the activities and doing
some regularly work, maybe I can do some help in some activities which related to music. Because
I still have courses, so my available time is Monday morning, Tuesday morning, all day Thursday and
Friday morning. I believe my background and experience make me confident that I can meet the
demands of this challenging job, at the meantime, I am very keen to work for Dulwich Picture Gallery.

I would be very grateful if you would consider me for the internship. I am available for interview at
any time and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you so much!

Yours sincerely,
Yuejia ZHA
