 I strongly believe that I am suitable for this position due to diversified
practical experience supported by background academic
qualifications along with HSE qualifications e.g. NEBOSH IDIP,
NEBOSH IGC, NVQ Level 5 etc. I possess skills required for this job.

Q 5: What is Health & Safety policy and it’s main parts? And why
should we have a H&S policy?
 Health & Safety policy is statement of management commitment
towards health and safety, regulatory compliance which should
include aims, objectives, roles & responsibilities and arrangement to
achieve aims, objectives of policy
 It’s a legal requirement for any employer having five or more than five
employees, should have a written health and safety policy

Q 6: What is a Management System and identify different types of
management systems?
 Management system is a systematic approach and or process to
manage organizational policies, procedures, processes in order to
achieve continual improvement within organization
 Different types of system includes:
 QMS (Quality Management System)e.g. ISO 9001-2008
 EMS (Environmental Management System) e.g. ISO 14001-2015
 OHS (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) e.g. OHSAS
18001-2007, BS-8800
 ENM (Energy Management System) e.g. ISO 5001-2011
 FSMS (Food Safety Management System) e.g. ISO 22000

Q 7: What do you know about audit? Types? What typical evidences
or things auditor will look for?
 H&S audit is systematic, objective and critical evaluation of
organizational health and safety management system
There are two main types of audit:
1. Internal Audit (Internal audit is performed by nominated staff with the
organization in order to examine effectiveness and implementation of current
management system
2. External Audit (External audit is undertaken by a third party mainly certifying
body to provide an independent view about organizational management system,
its effectiveness and for the purpose of certification)
Usually auditor will look for three types of evidence (document,
observation, interview)

Q 8: Provide a brief overview of your HSE experience.
 I initially started my career as HSE assistant, later on I worked as
junior HSE officer, then I was promoted as HSE officer, after few years
of experience and passing a couple of HSE certifications I was
promoted to Lead HSE officer role etc.

Q 9: What are the types of emergencies may happen at workplace?
 Several type of emergencies could happen at workplace including fire
emergency, medical emergency, Security emergency, Earthquake and
flooding emergency, Substance spill or leakage emergency etc.

Q 10: What are the key elements of H&S management system?
Key elements of H&S management system are following:
Policy (Statement of management commitment)
Organizing (Roles & responsibilities top to bottom)
Planning & implementation (Procedures, instructions, risk assessment,
execution of procedures)
Measuring performance (Evaluation of performance e.g. number of
LTI’s etc.)
Reviewing performance (What action to be taken in order to improve
and to achieve continual improvement)
