The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd., a Navratna company occupies the Numero
Uno position with its large and diversified fleet, operating in nearly all segments of
shipping viz. break-bulk services, container services, liquid and dry bulk services,
offshore services and passenger services. The company also mans and manages
vessels on behalf of various government bodies. The SCI continues to grow through
strategic alliances and new business opportunities.
The company is on the look out for professional managers at the level of General
Manager in the Finance & Accounting function at Kolkata and General Manager/
Deputy General Manager in the Corporate Social Responsibility function at Mumbai.

Upper age limit is 40 years for General Manager and 36 years for Deputy General
Manager. The age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years
for OBC (non-creamy layer). Further relaxation of 5 years would be given to
physically handicapped candidates.

13.Postings
The Finance & Accounting professional will be posted in Kolkata and the CSR
professional will be posted in Mumbai, however, selected candidates can be
transferred to any office in India/abroad as per the requirements of the
Corporation.
14.Accommodation
The Company may offer accommodation subject to availability. In case company
accommodation is not available or the candidate wishes to make his own
arrangement, HRA @ 30% of basic pay at Mumbai/ Kolkata may be availed.
15.Emoluments/ Benefits
The selected candidate will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.36,600-62,000 in the
General Manager’s grade and Rs.32900-58000 in the Deputy General Manager’s
grade. All allowances/ perquisites are limited to 50% of basic pay and suitable
bouquet of options would be developed in due course breaking down the 50%. As
an interim measure an amount equal to 40% of basic pay towards allowances and
perks and remaining 10% would be set aside and retained by the Corporation for
hospitalization and similar expenses. The gross emoluments at the minimum of
pay scales will be approx. Rs.73,500 p.m. in the General Manager’s grade,
Rs.65,500 p.m. in Deputy General Manager’s grade. The officer shall be entitled
to Performance Related Pay, PF, Gratuity and Superannuation benefits which shall
be per Corporation rules.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interviews at Mumbai.
