Philippine Literature in a 21st Century Education. This is to explore the significance of
Philippine classic literature in preserving the cultural values of the students, and its need to
be integrated in the present K to 12 curriculums.
In this regard, the researchers would like to ask your permission to administer a survey to

Pilot Testing
Last March 23 we’re able to do the pilot testing within the English group of 3rd year
and 4th year.

For the question no. 9, nineteen (19) out of twenty five (25) answered that Classic
Literature texts is Important in the new curriculum and six (6) of them answered that these
Classic Literary texts were not really important. In question no. 10, two (2) out of twenty five
(25) answered that he/she cannot decide, but twenty three (23) students answered that Classic
Philippine Literature should be a part of the SHS curriculum because it is part of our
Philippine Literature which enlivens our identity as Filipinos.
Conclusion:
Therefore, the researchers conclude that the test questionnaire was easy to
answer because most of them got the correct answers. The researchers observed that they will
be able to expect the senior high school respondents to be able to answer the questionnaires
properly.
