Procedures to be followed by the students submitting their

projects
MHRDM/MIM/MFM/MMM
2010-2011

Only 10 (TEN) candidates are allowed to register under a project guide.

Candidates are required to start their project work in the second year and
submit the same in the first term of the third year i.e. Vth Semester.

As soon as the projects are ready for submission, candidates should bring the
signature of the guide in the prescribed form, called “Project Submission
Form”.

Candidates will have to meet their Internal Guide minimum 5 (five) times for
project guidance before submitting the project. They will have to obtain the
signature of the guide in the Project Guide Certificate form, which is enclosed
in the project hand-out.

Two copies of the project are to be submitted alongwith the Internal

Guide’s signature in the prescribed form and Project Guide Certificate Form
to the Institute.

Candidates should not mention his / her name or Internal Guide’s

name anywhere in the project.

The Project should be typed in double space in thesis size paper and bound
with thick black cover page with gold embossing.

While submitting the two copies of the project, candidates have to bring their
second and third year tuition fee challans.

The last date for submitting Project Registration Form after obtaining the
Internal Guides signature is 14th Sept. 2010 No forms will be accepted after
20th Sept. 2010.

The last date for submitting two copies of the Project is 14/09/2010. Any
candidate who fails to get the Internal Guides signature before the last date
i.e…20/09/2010, their projects will not be accepted by the Institute and no
extension will be granted. The candidate will have to submit his / her project
next semester i.e. 15th September, 2010.

Viva Examination: the dates for the viva exam will be announced

 GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT WORK

OBJECTIVES –

The objectives of the project would be to see that a student does

research work in any “Area of Management” related to the field of
specialisation. Every project should include inter-alia the following :-

Objective/s and Scope of the Study

Formulation of Hypothesis
Research Methodology

Library Research
Data Collection / Sample Size
Drawing of inferences through statistical analysis
Data Collection / Sample Size
Strength and limitations of the study
Bibliography – Systematic and complex list of references

EXPECTED STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCES –

(a) Project work with good understanding of existing Good

literature, framing of methodology, data collection and 50-60%
analysis.
(b) Project work with good understanding of existing Very
literature, framing of hypothesis, data collection and Good
drawing of inferences through statistical analysis. 60-69%
(b) Project work with good understanding of existing Excellen
literature, framing of hypothesis, data collection and t
drawing of inferences through statistical analysis. Further, More
this research work should be wither of major extension or than
developments of new concepts bringing about further 70%
trends / acenaries.

DURATION –

The project will be spread over two semesters i.e. Second Semester of
the Second Year and First Semester of the Third Year. The Project
carries 100 marks (100 marks internal).
 GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED BY STUDENTS WHILE PREPARING THE
PROJECT REPORT

1. All the students are required to comply with the requirements as

laid down regarding the submission of Project Work. The projects
are individual projects and not joint projects.

2. The projects work is 100 marks and spread over three semesters
(first and second semester of second year and first semester of
third year).

3. The Cover Page of the report shall be as per the format given in
Annexure I.

4. The acknowledgement page of the report, should be brief.

5. There shall be a separate page for contents.

6. After the content page, there shall be a separate page list of

Tables / Charts / Diagrams, if any.

7. After the content page, there will be synopsis of the project briefly
written in two pages.

8. All chapters must be numbered.

9. Bibliographical references in the report, if required, shall appear at

the end of the project report, as per the following format :-

 The report must be typed in Quarter Size paper (8 ½ x 11 ½) in

double spacing with ½” margin on the left side of the paper. Two
copies of the report shall be submitted.

11. The name of the guide and student should not appear anywhere
in the project.
