In the reference 2° read above, Chief Engineer (NABARD and Rural —~ Roads), Highways Department has reported that the Director of Rural Development land Panchayat Raj Department has confirmed for handing over 954 number of Roads to Highways Depariment instead of 460 number of Roads which are ‘administratively sanctioned by Government in the Government Order fist cited and ‘also stated that remaining 106 Road works have already been taken up ut Various ‘schemes by Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, PMGSY II, NABARD Loan assistance scheme - NABARD RIDF XXill ete. in vari Districts. The Chief Engineer (NABARD and Rural Roads), Highways Departmont thas stated that only 104 numbers of Road works to length of 318.245 km at a cost of s.14433.850 lakhs can be taken up for upgradation as an allemate works this order). Further, out of 460 roads sanctioned in the Government Order first read above 106 numbers of Roads to a length ofee 335.70 kms with @ cost of Rs. 14433.85 lakhs (as Annexure | to this ordes) has to be deleted, since these works were already taken up by Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department under various schemes. 5.
