IV. Procedure

A. Preliminary Activity
 Prayer
 Checking of Attendance

B. Motivation

The teacher will request four students to represent different classification of computer tools (Student A-
Hand Tools, Student B – Cleaning Tools, Student C – Diagnostic Tools, Student D – ESD Tools). The teacher will
show a picture of tools and the student will identify if on what classification of computer tools it belongs.

C. Analysis

Based on the given activity, the student will be asked with the following questions:

 What are the different tools that belongs to Hand Tools, Cleaning Tools, Diagnostic Tools and ESD Tools?
 What is the most important hand tool use in computer hardware?
 What will happen if we are not using those kind of tools in handling computer hardware?

D. Abstraction

We will use a presentation on the definition and different types of hand tools

Hand tool is a device for performing work on a material or a physical system using only hands. The
hand tools can be manually used employing force, or electrically powered, using electrical current. Given the
following hand tools:
Flat head screwdriver – used to loosen or tighten
slotted screws

Philips head screwdriver – used to loosen or

tighten crosshead screws.

Hex driver – sometimes called a nut driver, is

used to tighten nuts in the same way that a
screwdriver tightens screws

Torx screwdriver - used to loosen or tighten screws

that have a star-like depression on the top, a
feature that is mainly found on laptop.

Needle-nose plier – used to hold small parts

Wire cutter – used to strip and cut wires.

Tweezers – used to manipulate small parts.

Part retriever – used to retrieve parts from

location that are to small for your hand to fit.
Flashlight – used to light up areas that you
cannot see well.

E. Application

The student will demonstrate the uses of hand tools.

Task: The teacher will provide a system unit then the student will perform individually how to use the
assigned tool.

F. Valuing

Value the importance of hand tools and its uses in computer hardware servicing through collaboration,
communication and creativity.

G. Assessment Evaluation

The teacher will divide the class into four groups and provide each group with different tools. Based on
the given tools, the students will identify and give its uses. The group will select a leader to deliver their output.
They are given 5 minutes to accomplish the task and 2 minutes for their presentation.

H. Agreement/assignment

The students were asked to compose a song or a poem of their selected hand tool and its uses.
