Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Brain pop is a tool that has assistive technology via closed captioning,
audio, and other visual features to aid the learners needs

Lesson idea implementation: Students and teachers will both be on Brain pop. The students will be
watching instructional videos and working on multiple drills to assess their knowledge. The lessons should
take no longer than a half an hour. Upon completion of the lesson there will be a quiz at the end to test
knowledge. Finally, the program will go over information that needs to be readdressed. I will raise the rigor
by selecting a more difficult topic or problem on the site. I will conclude by asking the class an open ended
question about the topic. After receiving their exit tickets about the day’s lesson, I will then go over the
answers to look for any holes or reoccurring issues that come up from the student’s results.

Reflective Practice: I think the activities created will help students learning in multiple ways. I think the
virtual and visual representation will help students connect with the concept. I can take this lesson and
extend it by applying to a real world situation.
