scholarships and grants.

Viz:
1 At the end of subtitle A of title XI, add the following:
2 SEC. 1107. DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CYBER SCHOLAR-

3 SHIP PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS AND

4 GRANTS.

5 (a) ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS.—Section 2200c

6 of title 10, United States Code, is amended—
7 (1) by inserting before ‘‘In the selection’’ the
8 following:

1 ‘‘(a) CENTERS OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN

2 CYBER EDUCATION.—’’; and

3 (2) by adding at the end the following new sub-
4 section:
5 ‘‘(b) CERTAIN INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDU-
6 CATION.—In the selection of a recipient for the award of
7 a scholarship or grant under this chapter, consideration
8 shall be given to whether—
9 ‘‘(1) in the case of a scholarship, the institution
10 of higher education at which the recipient pursues a
11 degree is an institution described in section 371(a)
12 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C.
13 1067q(a)); and
14 ‘‘(2) in the case of a grant, the recipient is an
15 institution described in such section.’’.
16 (b) CLERICAL AMENDMENTS.—
17 (1) SECTION HEADING.—The heading of section
18 2200c of title 10, United States Code, is amended
19 to read as follows:
20 ‘‘§ 2200c. Special considerations in awarding scholar-
21 ships and grants’’.

22 (2) TABLE OF SECTIONS.—The table of sections

23 at the beginning of chapter 112 of title 10, United
24 States Code, is amended by striking the item relat-

1 ing to section 2200c and inserting the following new
2 item:
‘‘2200c. Special considerations in awarding scholarships and grants.’’.
