ASTROPHYSICAL PLASMAS – resources to supplement lectures.

Below is a list of books with material which can help support this module. This module
is fairly self-contained and rather unique, so one book does not cover the whole. A
good book for the latter part of the module is Dyson.

During the module I will recommend published research articles, and will endeavour to
put links up on the VLE. I will always give the reference, so you can track it down
yourself.

Wikipedia is an excellent resource for astrophysics and astronomy, this is often

thorough and can be advanced. Hyperphysics is a gem and presents material succinctly
and in an accessible way, but doesn’t cover all topics. There are many other links
too(e.g. NASA, ESA and other agencies), you are encouraged to explore and let me
know when you find a good one!
