Happy Fourth of July

On Wednesday, July 4th we celebrate one of our greatest patriotic holi-
days. Please remember the liberty that is ours in this great land of the
United States of America and appreciate this independence with which we
are greatly blessed. We especially ask for prayers for all those who are
serving in the Armed Forces protecting our liberty and freedom.
PLEASE NOTE In observance of the holiday the Parish Office will be closed Wednesday,
July 4th, 2018. Normal business hours will resume on Thursday, July 5th.

Your Abundance at the Present Time Should Supply Their Needs,

so that Their Abundance May also Supply Your Needs – These words,
taken from today’s second reading, highlight the true nature of the On Mis-
sion for The Church Alive! initiative. All of us, individually and in our par-
ishes, are abundantly gifted. We each bring to the table a variety of unique
characteristics and talents that are used to spread the Good News of the
Gospel and bring Christ to others. As our parishes prepare to come together as parish group-
ings, and as we seek to form and strengthen relationships with our sisters and brothers in the
Church, the goal is not for these gifts to be trimmed away and wasted. Instead, we are called
to work to unite the many ways we seek to do good in the world so that everyone, youth and
adults of all ages, can be support in faith and in life. What can you do to help make your par-
ish grouping The Church Alive!? What can others do to help make your parish grouping The
Church Alive!? Let us be willing to both give and receive to make our parishes on fire with the
love and goodness of God. Visit onmissionchurchalive.org to learn more and to stay in-
formed.
