Rules of Engagement
In wrestling, soccer, judo and marathon as with other sports and games, there are rules; rules that guide
what, where, how and when.
In war against countries/nations, there are rules; rules/instructions we called Rules of Engagement. These
are very important for us to know and understand.
For example: killing innocent civilians is not only a crime to the state but a crime against humanity
In battle/battle, raping is against the rule, etc
In the same way, spiritual warfare/Invisible war has rules of engagement.
We will like to consider some of these important rules that need not overlooked or underestimated.
The rules of engagement take into consideration your enemy and your own end.
As you prepare for war/battle it important to understand the following:

1. You are involved in a spiritual war/battle

2. You are an enlisted soldier….no entanglement with the affairs
3. Be prepared at all times for battle(s)
4. There are many battles but one war
5. The war is a winnable war…cause you have Jehovah-Gibbor-as Your Commander in Chief and
Jehovah Sabboath-as your Captain of the host of the Lord’s army
6. Always be strong in the Lord and put on the “full” armor of God
7. You must be fully and well equipped in order to engage the enemy
8. The weapons of your warfare are not carnal, but mighty ( you are dealing with weapons that are
dangerous and have the ability to….
9. Understand that your only safety is to remain connected to your Commander and under his
control or supervision
10. Your warfare is against spiritual wickedness in high place, principalities and power
11. It is a war of life and death
12. The enemy’s target is your life
13. Sin is a legal ground that allows the enemy to over-run your territory
14. You must deal with the flesh before you attempt to deal with the devil
