INTRODUCTION

At work training is one of best technique for the student to learn. This

strategy is a possibility of the student to apply the comprehension and finding

outs about hypotheses and calculations at school. By this, the student can obtain

new learning and abilities by performing in genuine work setting.

The learning of student that they get from school is not sufficient for them

to end up completely arranged that is the reason the school trade off On the Job

Training. The school requires the student to experience entry level position or

preparing to a particular organization for them to work and prepared for the

forthcoming vocation. It is a restricted for student to uncover in an alternate work

circumstance by applying the hypotheses and calculation that they gained from

school. It is a decent route for creating aptitudes and skill. It is an approach to

improve one student more by uncovering and experience the sentiment working

outside. The student can apply the whole exercise they learned for each

assignment given. At work, preparing encourages the student to obtain new

information and abilities by performing in real field. It likewise helps the student

with the end goal for them to be set up on the field that they've picked. On-the-

Job-Training will by and large help the student to build their efficiency and

aptitudes.

For the most part, at work preparing builds up the student to be completely

arranged. It enables the student to have an affair and to see the truth about

working. It shapes the student to be sufficiently equipped on his picked way or

profession. This preparation creates one polished methodology on managing


individuals. By this, the student will have an opportunity to demonstrate his

aptitude that will assist him with being fruitful sometime in the future.

DESCRIPTION OF PLACEMENT ENVIRONMENT

Being an Accounting student, I am searching for an organization that will

assist me with developing and upgrade my abilities and can prepared me to end

up a beneficial representative in my up and coming voyage. Fortunately I found

an organization that somehow suits to my course.


ENGINEERING AND MACHINERY CORPORATION (EMCOR) HISTORY

Jesus V. del Rosario founded EMCOR Inc. in 1958 originally under the

name of Engineering and Machinery Corporation (EMCOR) as the franchise

dealer of International Harvester (IH) in Mindanao with its base in Davao City.

In 1976, it shifted its product lines to Kawasaki motorcycles and National-

Panasonic appliances. Despite the change in product lines, the company

retained the acronym "EMCOR" to take advantage of the popularity and goodwill

the name had generated over the years.

In 1979, EMCOR entered into a marketing agreement with National-

Panasonic Philippines, Inc. The latter was the distributor of National-Panasonic

household appliances and home convenience products manufactured by

Precision Electronic Corporation.

In 1992, the Advanced Technology Systems (ATS) Department was

established to cater to the growing market of Information Technology Products.

Today, EMCOR is a 100% Filipino Company whose primary business

activity is in the retail of household appliances, IT products, motorcycles, furniture

and money transfer. It has established a strong presence in the Philippines

having more than 100 stores in the Mindanao, Visayas and Palawan islands.

DUTIES AND ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT

FINANCE DEPARTMENT

Amid my temporary job preparing at EMCOR Panabo Highway branch, I

was assigned in a basic yet challenging job function.

• Adjudicating the Customers Information form

• Checker of credit transaction Papers

• Logging of customer credit

• Update of aged account

• Maintaining accounting documents and records

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

• I am assigned to do the following ask:

• Manual Computation of creditors income

• net pay after credit.

• Checking attachments on creditor requirements

• Segregation of documents for submission to Home office

• Update creditors aged account


PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE

Having a chance to work outside is a stand-out deal at any point I had. By


this, it causes me to build up my aptitudes and augments me of what is truly
occurring in the field. New aptitudes procured and abilities made strides.

Improved skills acquired

I work before for almost 3 years in various companies, different industry


but with the same company’s department. Finance department is the busiest
division in a company which I observed specially in paper works.

For me, I could say my experience was enough to be prepared. But


entering into another kind of business industry as OJT, there is a skill I acquired
in a certain company which is how to deal a customer for you to convince them to
decide which is which is best to suit to their budget and wants.

Leadership Style Observed

The EMCOR Inc. uses a democratic type of leadership. All the personnel’s

are interdependent with one another as shown by the collaboration of the store

operation and the finance service operation departments in some cases like

credits. A democratic leadership style involves the leader including one or more

employees in the decision making process – determining what to do and how to


do it. However, the leader maintains the final decision making authority. This is

what’s happening in their company.

RECOMMENDATION

Every new day gives us a chance to move forward from our present

situation. We can improve our business on a number of fronts: by increasing

profits, reducing losses, getting more customers, expanding the markets,

becoming more visible in the community, going public or a number of other items

deemed desirable. We must have a vision of what you want to achieve, where

you want to go, and what you want the business to become.

EMCOR Panabo Inc. has already a superb way of leading and managing

their company. Their planning is impressive as to how they use strategic

methods to organize information and assign probabilities to potential events -

both good and bad - as the basis for developing business strategy and

operational plans. Also, their company’s way of saving money by means of

retaining their employees through developing and honing their skills is quite

practical.

As a group who views their company as exceptional, we only recommend

that they continue what they do best epecially in reaching out to people in far-

flung areas in doing these caravan sales and in all these promotions making their
products more affordable to people who strive hard to let every day ends meet.

Also, they could make use of suggestion box for the people aside from their

employees so that the customers will also get the chance to comment and

suggest about what they think is good for the company. As such, the company

will get feedback from people enabling them know if they have satisfied their

customers or not. With these reasons alone, the company will surely find ways to

improve and enhance their services in response to their clients’ or customers’

complaints or suggestions. This, in turn, will help the company enhance and

improve efficiently.
