ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Technical Sergeant Justin D. Krautkremer distinguished himself by meritorious service as Noncommissioned
Officer in Charge, Supply, 434th Civil Engineer Squadron, 434th Air Refueling Wing, Grissom Air Reserve
Base, Indiana. During this period, Sergeant Krautkremer was essential in establishing a new Explosive
Ordnance Disposal Flight. He conducted 21 emergency responses and led two Presidential Protection
missions totaling over 179 hours of explosive ordnance disposal incident responses. His responses included a
mission-critical aircraft response at Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base. Sergeant Krautkremer
single-handedly constructed base support and deployable equipment packages. He raised the base support
package by 86 percent over three years and the deployable package by 39 percent in only five months. In
addition, Sergeant Krautkremer procured 100,000 dollars in a furnishing package for the new facility. He was
also instrumental in drafting and implementing the flight's logistics Standard Operating Procedures, Team
Leader Guides and the Upgrade Training Plan. Sergeant Krautkremer spearheaded the creation of the flight's
munitions section, safely housing 500 plus pounds of explosives with 100 percent accountability and zero
mishaps. He took the lead in overhauling the unit's antiterrorism program, guiding the unit through a Nuclear
Operational Readiness Inspection with zero security writeups. His dedication to duty and exemplary
performance were crucial in the flight earning Fully Operational Capable status only two years after its
conception and passing the 2014 Unit Effectiveness Inspection. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant
Krautkremer reflect credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
