Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity: During the SRT activity the teacher will
instruct the students to finish as quickly and accurately as they can. The students will be instructed to work on
the SRT activity independently. If needed, the students will have the option to use manipulatives to solve the
word problems. The teacher will read the questions aloud for the student along with the answer choices.
Using their devices, the students will then have 1 minutes per question to submit an answer.

Why or why not?
I will pre-select the correct answers to ensure the game moves smoothly and allow students to see whether
they got the answer right or wrong. Allowing the students to see this helps them determine where they went
wrong in solving a problem.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity? After the activity, the teacher will review the data to
provide accommodations/differentiation to the content to ensure all students are learning.
How will the data be used? The teacher will be able to collect data from Kahoot on how the class did and use
the data for instruction. The data collected will be used to evaluate students’ understanding of the material.
Using this data, the teacher is able to make accommodations to ensure all students are advancing in their
learning. The data will not be shared; however, students will be familiar with their progress based on how
many questions were answered correctly.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. My personal goal is to introduce students to a new way
of learning by implementing technology such as student response technology to make it more accessible for
all students to participate
Reflective Practice: This activity is a great way for students to take control over their own learning. Students
are able to immediately see which questions they got right/wrong. There are many advantages to this activity
such as student engagement. Students are able to participate in the classroom without feeling pressured. This
activity also allows students with specific learning disabilities to participate.
I can extend this lesson by allowing students to create their own questions on Kahoot and sharing them with
the class. The questions can be created individually or in a group.
