SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN ON EARTHQUAKES

Grade 6
Learning Competency:
 Enumerate what to do before during and after earthquake and volcanic eruptions.
I. Objectives: At the end of the session, the pupils must be able to:
1. Determine the causes and effects of earthquakes;
2. Recognize what are the things to be done when earthquakes occur.

II. Materials : LCD Projector, laptop, Speaker, Cut-out Pictures, Answer sheet.

A. Preparatory Activities

1. Prayer One pupil will lead the prayer.

2. Drill

 Pupils will be group into 4. Output:


 An envelope which contains cut-
out pictures will be distributed to
each group.
 Ten seconds will be given to

 Pupils will then post the whole
picture on the board.

 They will be group according to these
categories: BEFORE, DURING, and
AFTER an earthquake.
 Ten minutes will be given for pupils to
organize.
 Presentation proper.

Content- 10
Cooperation-5 pts.
Total - 20 pts.

3. Generalization
Pupils will present the task given.
 The teacher will ask: What was done best
by the Before Group? The During group?
And the After group?

4.Evaluation

Directions: Put a check if the given situation


is a WRONG OR RIGHT doing to do during
earthquake.

Pupils will answer one by one.
