NARRATIVE REPORT ON HOME VISITATIONS

Home visits often lead to respectful partnerships between parents, teachers, and educators. Issues
tackled with the parents will prevent the learner from failing his/her grades or solving the issues
regarding the learner. I was able to obtain information about the learners, their families, and
communities surrounding them.

“Why is he attention seeker? Why is he always late at our class?” Etc. I was enlightened about the
students’ situation by visiting their home. Some students came from a broken family, some came from
poor, and some are just lazy.

My one student, has not been going to school for 2 weeks. Turns out that he wants to drop and just
help his family by working. I talked to his father and he said that the learner’s mother which is in
abroad was sad about the student’s decision. After hours of persuading the learner, I convinced him
to go back to school. After that, his mother messaged me, and she was thankful about what happened.
It was very fulfilling on my part.

There was a lot of realizations happened to me after the home visitations. A lot of problems solved,
and I was hoping for the positive results.
