Situation:
Singapore’s iconic tourist spot has 3 Cooling towers
of 600 RT each, 1 running tower, experiencing high
approach temperature in condensers and high
pressure due to biofouling. Customer is unable to
solve the issue for some time.

The Needs:

The customer cooling towers are facing high

biofouling due to high condenser approach
temperature, in order to keep the aircon running
during the day for tourists’ visits.

Our Treatment Solution:

bmSOLUTION® CL 86250 is our liquid

bio-penetrant & dispersant that is excellent in both
open and closed recirculating loop systems, against
broad spectrum bacteria, slime, and algae. It is
usually applied as shock dose treatment to clean up
and disinfect system that has high microbiological
growths.

Before Treatment:
At time 12pm, 6th Feb 15:
CDW Out Temp = 28.9 °C
Condenser ref = 31.3 °C
Condenser Approach temp = 2.4 °C

 After Treatment
(30 minutes of dosing CL86250)

At time 1230pm, 6th Feb 15:

CDW Out = 29.5°C
Condenser Ref = 32.1°C
Condenser Approach Temp = 2.6 °C

(1 hour of dosing CL86250)

At time 119pm, 6th Feb 15:

CDW Out = 29.9°C
Condenser Ref = 31.7 °C
Condenser Approach Temp = 1.8 °C

FINAL CONDENSER APPROACH TEMPERATURE

(AFTER 1 WEEK) = 1.7 °C
