The Result of the interview
in preliminary research from the English teacher

Anggi : Dikelas berapa sajakah miss mengajar bahasa inggris?

Mrs. Wahyu : Saya hanya mengajar bahasa inggris wajib dikelas XI dan bahasa
inggris peminatan di kelas XII
Anggi : Berapa Nilai KKM mata pelajaran bahasa inggris di MAN 2 Bandar
Lampung ?
Mrs.Wahyu : KKM untuk pelajaran Bahasa inggris di sekolah ini adalah 73
Anggi : Ada berapa siswa yang lulus KKM miss?
Mrs. Wahyu : Sekitar 30 % yang mencapai KKM. Khususnya kelas XI MIA dalam
pelajaran bahasa inggris.
Anggi : Bagaimana minat siswa dalam belajar bahasa inggris miss?
Mrs. Wahyu : Minat siswa relative ya, ada sebagian siswa yang menyukai bahasa
inggris dan ada yang tidak suka.karena sulit menurut mereka.
Anggi : Bagaimana penguasaan vocabulary siswa miss?
Mrs.wahyu : Ya sangat beragam, kemampuan siswa ada yang baik dalam hal
vocabulary, namum ada juga yang kurang menguasai sehingga mereka
mengalami kesulitan dalam pelajaran bahasa inggris.
Anggi : miss pernah kah mengajarkan tentang translation di kelas? Dan
bagaimana cara miss mengambil nilai mereka?
Mrs. Wahyu : Ya pernah, kemarin saya mengajarkan tentang salah satu jenis text
dalam bahasa inggris tentang” analytical exposition”. Sebelum
mengerjakan beberapa soal saya menyuruh siswa saya mentranslate
tersebut dan saya ambil nilai translationnya berdasarkan beberapa
aspek kesesuaiannya. Aspek yang saya ambil seperti structure of
language, comprehension of the meaning, choice of words, and
fluency.
Anggi : Lalu bagaimana kemampuan mereka dalam mentranslate miss?
Mrs. Wahyu : Nah itu tergantung pengetahuan mereka terhadap vocabulary. Siswa
yang banyak menguasai vocabulary maka ia akan mudah dalam
pelajaran bahasa inggris khususnya translation, begitu juga sebaliknya.
Dan di sekolah ini siswanya banyak yang kurang menguasai
vocabulary sehingga waktu saya tugaskan mentranslate sebuah text
kemarin, mereka yang kurang menguasai vocabulary mendapatkan
nilai rendah.
