· During his tenure in the ‘Business Analytics/Consulting’ department at Merilytics from Jan-2017 to May-2018, Rohit

worked on two different projects. The first project was for a US based client in the Non Medicated pharmaceutical
industry. The other was for one of the largest domestic textile exporter client.

Developing Demand Forecast and Supply Chain models for one for largest Textile Export client.

 Set up, cleaned and structured the SKU-Store daily sales data (for 100+ SKUs and 5000+ stores) on Microsoft SQL Server.
 Developed a Multi-Echelon/ 3-Echelon (Multi-tier/ 3-tier) Inventory Optimization model for 3 Retailers, 100+ SKUs and
5000+ Stores, which will help client to minimize stock-outs and reduce shipping costs, with an estimated yearly cost saving
of $1.2M .
 Developed Supply Planning dashboard (with 10+ parameters/variables) on Power BI for effective visualization and decision
making by CXO’s and top management.
 Built Demand Forecasting models for (5+ product segments, 100+ SKUs, 5000+ stores) using Python, SQL.
 Examined the impact of external factors such as Weather, GDP Growth, CPI, CCI etc. on demand forecast and incorporated
the statistically significant factors in the forecast.
 Revised the forecasting models periodically incorporating fundamental business changes for error minimization. Reduced the
forecasting error from 25% to 10%, assisting the client in effective production planning
 Developed Product-Price Architecture for online retailers, analyzed and classified 20,000+ SKUs across 10+
parameters. Identified market opportunities (gap) and recommended possible future products for client’s portfolio
 Developed Price Elasticity models for 5+ product segments and recommended optimal discounts to client for profit
maximization.

client with actionable insights, assisting them in increasing market share by 2% in a year

§ Analyzed the performance of 50+ client’s SKUs among 10+ product segments across 10+ Retailers through Business
decks

§ Monitored closely the market share of major competitors and identify the factors driving it. Performed Market
analysis and Competitive Benchmarking, assisting client in modifying their growth strategy

§ Examined the drivers of growth for 10+ client’s products. Decomposed the growth into various factors and analyzed
the extent of growth driven by those factors, assisting the client in determining the key growth drivers

§ Analyzed the extent of Cannibalization of client’s products, assisting the client to decide on whether or not to
discontinue old product. Strategized and recommended optimum shelf placement to maximize Sales.

§ Prepared a detailed report on a product segment where the client was not present. The client launched products in
that segment.

§ Developed an automated Excel model to provide insights on Consumer preference and behavior by analyzing data
gathered through consumer surveys, assisting clientwith new product development strategy

§ Identified nearest retail outlets to the doctors (medical practitioner/Paediatrician) by employing KNN Algorithms,
helping the client minimize shipping costs.
