PEDAGOGICAL EXPERIENCE 1 – LESSON PLANNING

LESSON PLAN ADOLESCENTS

Level: Between 12 and 16 years old Date: 26/09/2017

Topic: Present simple

Learning strategy: Participatory and constructive.

Activity objectives:
*The student learns the structure of the simple present and uses it in his daily
routine.
*Recognition of unknown verbs is performed.
*Know the correct pronunciation of verbs and phrases in simple present.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION TIME

Warm-Up (Pre):
The professor first gives some key words in order to
introduce the topic he is teaching. Then he performs some 15
actions that the students can easily learn by repetition. The
teacher should also allow speaking abilities to develop in
learners at the learners’ own natural pace.
Presentation (Pre): 25
The teacher writes the pronouns on the board and, using
didactic tokens, explains the structure of a sentence in
simple present for first and third person, allowing the
students to participate and go to the board to make
sentences.
Practice (While): 25
The teacher makes them write in the notebook an exercise
in completing daily routine phrases and they will fill it out
as explained in the class and them also should do in groups
and they will be given some disordered phrases in simple
present which they must order and go to the front to do
them in negative and in question.
Production (post): 25
Students should write in their notebooks their daily routine
with the verbs and learned structures and choose some to
put them to their peers and they will be evaluated
according to their pronunciation and the correct structure
and handling of the present simple.

Fact sheets with verbs

Assessment:
The teacher will observe each student's progress and evaluate their learning and
participation during the class.
LESSON PLAN ADULTS

Level: Between 25 and 35 years old Date: 26/09/2017

Topic: Present simple

Learning strategy: constructive.

Activity objectives:
*The student learns the structure of the simple present and uses it in his daily
routine.
*Recognition of unknown verbs is performed.
*Know the correct pronunciation of verbs and phrases in simple present.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION TIME

Warm-Up (Pre):
The teacher will first ask what knowledge they have about
the present simple and what are the difficulties they 15
present in this subject.

Presentation (Pre): 25
The teacher will ask them about personal pronouns and
which are first and foremost person, then will show the
structure of both affirmative, negative and question
statements and the students will participate by making
sentences on the board with verbs they already know.
Practice (While): 25
There is an activity of recognition in which students will be
in a group of two people and talk about their daily routine
and use English phrases and simple present structure, then
the teacher reviews the sentences they made.
Production (post): 25
The teacher gives them an activity of filling spaces close
and also they must order some phrases that are in disorder
and make negative phrases and questions in simple
present.
