BRIEF
ITINERARY

Day 1
Receiving at Rumsu base camp. Registration and orientation.
Acclimatization walk. Overnight at Rumsu base camp.
day 1
Day 2 Level: Easy.
Drive from Rumsu to Hamta Dam and trek to Chikka.

day 2 Day 3 Level: Moderate.

Trek from Chikka to Balu ka Ghera

day 3 Day 4 Level: Moderate.

Trek from Balu ka Ghera to Shia Ghoru

Day 5 Level: Moderate.

Trek from Shia Ghoru to Chatru and jeep safari to Chandrataal
Lake.

Day 6
Jeep ride back to manali and departure

DETAIL
ITINERARY
Day 1 : Reporting at Rumsu
base camp and Acclimatization walk.
Get down at Patlikuhal(20 kms after
kullu and 20 kms before Manali).
Transport options are readily available
from Patlikuhal to Rumsu camp.
All the participants should report
at Rumsu base camp by 8 AM and
will undergo registration process.
Freshening up and breakfast
will happen at the base camp.
Post breakfast we will go for an
acclimatization walk.
Lunch at 1 PM. Post lunch
orientation. Orientation will cover all
the general instructions that could be
helpful for the trek like backpacking,
marching technique and medical
awareness. Post snacks we will have
an ice breaking session. Overnight
stay at Rumsu base camp.
Day 2 : Rumsu to Chikka
After morning breakfast we will start
the day’s trek with a beautiful drive to
Hamta dam from Rumsu at 8 am.The
trek to Chikka starts from Hamta
Dam and is easy. It takes around
2-3 hours to complete it. There is
a small forest patch and then two
wooden bridges before you reach
the campsite. Chikka has big rock
boulders and a beautiful waterfall.

Day 4 : Balu ka Ghera to Shia
Ghoru
Today’s trek starts early as we will try
covering the maximum snow patch
before sun rise. The trek route from
Balu Gehra towards Shia Ghoru
is a moderate climb, scaling 4,200
meters. The trek duration is relatively
long and starts by 5 am in the morning
from Balu ka Gera. It takes around

view of the valleys of Lahaul and Spiti
are not to be missed during the trek.
The mountains of Pir Panjal and Spiti
ranges adds to the beauty. Chatru
is a meeting point of roads coming
from Rohtang Pass, Hampta Pass and
 Spiti. Jeep safari to Chandrataal from
Chatru . Myths say that Yudhishthir,
the eldest Pandava was called to
heaven from Chandra Taal. Overnight
camping at Chatru.

Day 6 : Jeep Ride from

Chatru to Manali. Departure
at 2PM.
After morning breakfast we will
start the jeep ride to Manali
via Rohtang Pass. Certificate

the participant will be detained and handed over to
government authority.

- Instructions from Guide should be strictly followed.

- Participants need to bring the medical certificate from a certified

doctor for any respiratory disease and blood pressure.

PAYMENT
METHOD

One has to pay 50% through our website or via payment

link generated by our booking team. Rest 50% you have to
pay when you arrive at the base camp.

CANCELLATION
POLICY
If for any reason one wishes to cancel his/her trek, an email
intimation needs to be sent to kailashrathtreks@gmail.com
Cancellation requests will not be taken over a phone call.
However, one can call us to check whether the cancellation
has been processed.

The cancellation charges are as under:

Cancellation before 10 days - Rs 2000.

Cancellation within 10 days – No refund.
