4 Sources and methods

We consulted the Discipline Office and students for background information and to learn the reasons
why students still violates some offenses. We used these findings to formulate a questionnaire on the
reasons why 3rd year college students still violate Category 1 offenses. This questionnaire (shown in the
appendix) was then used to survey 3rd year college students of De La Salle Lipa. In all, a sample of 30
individuals responded to the self-administered questionnaire. Figure 1 shows the percentage of students
responds on the reason why they violate some Category 1 offenses.
