Building on the foundation studies in Accounting and Finance the subject aims to equip the
students with an understanding of various aspects of the nature and management of credit
and associated risks relevant to banks.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Students will be able to formulate lending propositions taking into account borrowers’ specific
financial needs, legal regulation on bank credit and social responsibility of the lending
institutions.
INDICATIVE CONTENT
TEACHING/LEARNING APPROACH
A combination of lectures and seminars will be used. Problem based case studies will be part
of teaching and relevant software will be used such as Balance Sheet Analysis and Excel.
Specialists from the private and public sectors will be invited to deliver lectures / conduct
workshops and group discussions. Student assignments will emphasize on investigation and
solution of problems in a holistic inter-disciplinary approach.
