Greetings!

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts – National Committee on Dramatic Arts and La Salle
University will spearhead the 11th TANGHAL Theater Festival – Mindanao Leg on September 2-4, 2018 in
Ozamiz City. The festival will gather outstanding young theater groups from select universities in Mindanao.
The festival is organized nationally by Sinagbayan, Inc. in partnership with its local festival organizing team,
Teatro Guindegan – Culture and Arts and Resources for Education, Inc.

The festival will feature performances from the following performing arts groups based in Mindanao:
• University Theater Guild of Western Mindanao State University, Zamboanga City
• Teyatro Dasuliman of Jose Rizal Memorial State University, Dapitan City
• CU Dance Troupe of Capitol University, Cagayan de Oro City
• KO-LAB Mindanao Project (Mindanao-wide Collaborative Project)
• Teatro Guindegan of La Salle University, Ozamiz City

In this regard, we are inviting your students to come and watch performances. There will be a FESTIVAL PASS
worth P100.00 for free access to all shows, workshop and talk on September 2-4, 2018 at La Salle University.

This festival will be beneficial to your students as they will be exposed to contemporary performance making
practices in Mindanao. They will have the opportunity to have dialogues with the directors during post-show
audience interactions. This can be an added outside-of-the-classroom learning for your young student-
artists. Please see the enclosed schedule of activities of the 11th TANGHAL Theater Festival.
