This is the Main look-up screen. You have a variety of search options. Search by Name, Document Type, Book & Page #, etc. For sake of example
select CT (Certificate of Title) in the “Document Type” field, select the date range & select “Begin Search”. For this example we used January 1st
through January 15th of this year (2010).
Here we have the results from our “CT” search. It brought back 91 matching records. Click on “View” to see the document.

Let’s write down one of the Defendants Name and see if we can find the court docket.
On the top menu bar select “Records Search” then “Court Records”
Accept the disclaimer…
Select “civil”, enter the name and click “search”
Select the match – case number ending in 460CA (see CT for reference)
Select “Dockets” then page “1” to start from the beginning
You will be able to see a list of docket entries, but you won’t be able to see or obtain the actual documents that were filed (complaint, affidavit, motion,
etc). In order to obtain copies you would need to visit the research dept.
Now we need to go back to search for the mortgage & any assignment(s) on record.
On the OR search page enter last name, first name and select “Assignment Mortgage” – then scroll to “Mortgage” and click while holding down the
Control (CTRL) button on your keyboard (this allows you to select multiple document types).
We found 12 matching records. All Mortgage & Assignment of Mortgage documents should show here. You can always validate a match by comparing
the legal description. In this case we want to find all documents relative to Golden Gate Unit 6 Part 1 Block 183 Lot 5.
