Tool Name:
Kahoot

This resource is intended to be used as an evaluation tool for students. It is a great way to quiz
your students upon completion of a lesson to find out what they comprehended and what they still
need help with.
k-12
In my opinion, this is one of the easiest resources to use. It is extremely user friendly and easy to
put together quizzes for your students.

the videos and practice exercises on Khan Academy to give my students extra resources to help
them understand the content. Sometimes, students need variety as far as teaching methods and
instruction.

Tool Name:
Evernote
Access Link:
https://evernote.com/
Evernote helps capture ideas in the form of notes, voice, and pictures. It is a good way to organize
your deadlines and keep on schedule. I would use Evernote to help me highlight main ideas and
goals of lessons and keep track of important dates. Evernote can also be useful for older students
to help them organize their notes.
k-12
Evernote is somewhat easy to use. However, I find the layout slightly confusing.

Tool Name: Ted Talks
Ted Talks are short videos of various professionals who speak on a variety of topics. I would use
Ted Talks to add to lessons. Students can learn a lot of valuable information from these videos. It
is also nice to have some variation in your lessons so that students do not get tired of listening to
the teacher speak.
5-12
Ted Talks are extremely easy to use. You can access Ted Talks directly from their website or find
them on YouTube.

would be a great resource to use when discussing books of fiction. Scribble Press is a great
resource that encourages students to create their own stories. It demonstrates to students that
reading should be fun and creative. It is an app that can be used on iPads.

Tool Name:
MyScript Calculator
Access Link:
https://www.myscript.com/calculator/
MyScript Calculator allows you to write a math problem with your finger or stylus on the screen
and it will provide you with an answer. This tool allows you to write the problem instead of
pushing numbers on a calculator. It is also easier than a calculator in that you do not have to set it
in different modes to solve certain problems. I would use this tool in my class to help stud ents
better visualize math problems. I would only use it for k-5. I think it is important for students to
start learning how to use a scientific calculator at least by 6 th grade. MyScript is an app that can
be used on iPads.
k-12
This tool literally could not get any easier. All that is required is writing out the math problem
and it gives you an answer.

Tool Name:
The Elements
Access Link:
http://apps.theodoregray.com/the-elements/
This is an app that can be downloaded on iPads. The Elements app is an in-depth and visual
representation of the Periodic Table of Elements. The elements on this app are 3D and move. This
creates a nice affect to the elements and make them look more concrete and less difficult to
comprehend. If I were a chemistry teacher in grades 6-12 I would require that my students
download this app purely as an excellent resource to possess.
