CRAFT CLUB New Carlisle Lodge Receives 9th District Awards
At the 9th Masonic District meeting Sept. 17th our Lodge and members received the
PIZZA PARTY following Inspection Awards. Best Fellow Craft Degree, Best Fellow Craft
Lecture - Douglas Baker, Best Fellow Craft Charge - Brian Roberts and 100%
Attendance. This was the second year in a row that we received all 3 awards for
our Inspection Degree. Thanks to all who made our Inspection a great success!

New Carlisle Heritage of Flight Festival
The New Carlisle Heritage of Flight Festival was a great success. The
weather was good both days except for a little rain Friday. The Car Show
Friday had over 800 cars participating. Saturday was outstanding also with
a wonderful Parade featuring aircraft and many local Parade Units. Our
Food Booth sales were very good.
Thanks to all the members, wives, sons and daughters that
helped.

The New Carlisle Heritage of Flight

Festival was a great success.

Thanks to all the members and their

families who cooked and worked the
Booth. It was certainly exhausting, but
worth the effort, and most importantly it
was fun.

We plan to do it again next year so keep

those work boots handy.

Grand Lodge Legislation Adopted
1. Clarify what is required if Lodges allow
Alcohol to be served in a Masonic Temple.
2. Create a Grand Lodge Membership
Development Committee.
3. Allow a member of a Lodge that is
consolidating to re-designate his Endowed
Membership to another Ohio Lodge which he
affiliates.
4. Allow the Creation of Goose and Gridiron
Lodge and to operate as an English style
lodge.
All other legislation was defeated, out of order
or laid over for consideration next year.

2019 Budget
The 2019 budget has been approved by the
Masonic Association, New Carlisle Lodge No.
100 and New Carlisle Chapter No. 57, R.A.M.
Each organization meeting in the Temple pays
a per-capita amount which is paid to the
Masonic Association. The projected expense
of operating our Masonic Temple in 2019 is
$12,055.04.

Jeffery Scott Pickett
March 22, 1962 - October 1, 2018
Worshipful Brother Pickett (56) was
raised November 18, 1986 in Fairborn
Lodge. He was also a member of New
Carlisle, Morning Star and Yellow
Springs Lodges. WB. Picket served New
Carlisle Lodge as Worshipful Master in
2011, 2012, and 2015. Fairborn Lodge
conducted a Masonic Funeral Service for
WB. Pickett October 14 at Tobias Funeral

Congratulations to Companion Ted Buskirk on being named District Education
Officer of the 9th Masonic District. Best of luck in your future endeavors Ted.
November 13th at 7PM is the date of Chapter 57s Inspection in the Most Excellent
Master Degree, hope to see you there. At our Nov Stated meetings of Chapter 57
and Council 143, we will be voting on by-laws changes. This change will increase
our annual dues for each of the bodies from $35.00 to $40.00 per year. If passed
the increase will take effect with the 2020 Dues billing which begins in June of
2019. I encourage all Companions of Chapter and Council to attend this important
meeting!
The Ohio Masonic Home 40th Annual Christmas Dinner party will be held on
Monday, December 3, 2018 at New Carlisle Masonic Temple. With dinner
scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
We invite all masons and their families (especially children and/or grandchildren)
to join us for this traditional holiday event to entertain and honor Ohio Masonic
Home residents, and to once again have a visit from that Jolly old fellow known
as St. Nick, or better known as Santa Claus. The entrée (ham loaves), drinks, and
bread will be furnished. We ask all those attending to bring a salad or dessert or
dish of your choice.
