- According to the extract of Fray Juan de Placensia, he depict the


early Filipino beliefs as peculiar at the same time. The excerpt
completed that the early Filipino ancestors worshipped a soul,
nature or cosmic bodies that would involve religious belief at that
time, he also stated that Christianity, our progenitors have their
spiritual foundation. They observed that our ancestors has a unique
way of how they worship a deities, they also adhere the ways of
congregating and worshipping out progenitor's God and deities.

- As a high functionary of Spain and being a judge, De


Morgadescribed the native beliefs in a way that a Filipino were being

able to study the belief and religious custom of the natives. They
have a decent and organize spiritual belief than ours that time. He
also observed the baylanes of that place and state that the devil was
hiding through the image of a spiritual leaders of the natives. They
would invoked demons and the souls of the departed and they tend
to see the future and answer their questions.

- Yes,we conclude that his except can be a summary of the three


excerpt. We can able to say that he was influenced by the friars for
he can able to sum up all the point of view of all the three friars.

5. How similar or different was the description of Chirin from Placensia's


account of early Filipino?

- We noticed that there are no big differences nor similarities between


there work,first, thoughts and observations of them was upon the
stability of the ancestor's belief and spiritual lives, second, was
about the thoughts that insult and said that the ancestors conduct,
lots of sacrifices and the beliefs caused and triggered by the demons
and evil. Most commonly, they have the almost the sameillusbtration
of their own works.
