I am writing regarding Hayley Moomaw. I am a nursing professor at Shenandoah University


(SU) who first met Hayley as she entered the Accelerated Second Degree (ASD) Nursing
program. She also holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Psychology and Family Studies obtained
from James Madison University (JMU).

Hayley entered the demanding ASD Nursing program at SU demonstrating unwavering


commitment that contributed to her success. She has held assorted positions in health care prior
to admission at SU that strengthened her knowledge base and ability to navigate in the complex
healthcare environment. She has successfully mastered various clinical rotations required in the
ASD program.

Hayley is motivated to advance her education noted by certifications in addition to those required
for her program of study. In 2018 she attended a Rapid Response Training and a FEMA
Emergency Management Institute. She also has been very engaged in various activities at James
Madison University and Shenandoah University. Her volunteer experience shows she has an
interest in her community and individuals from childhood to geriatric populations.

Hayley possesses excellent interpersonal skills, always exhibiting a respectful attitude toward
peers, faculty/administrators, patients and families. She understands the importance of
collaboration among team members and strives to meet expectations. These are indispensable
skills for a nurse seeking employment.
