I – PRE-LESSON 1. Review numbers with a whole-class
game.
Ii – LESSON DEVELOPMENT 2. Using flashcards, review key
vocabulary and questions.

3. Pupils will listen to four short


dialogues about how many
shells/jigsaw puzzles/teddy bears
each child (Steve, Julie, Tom, Pat)
has got and write the correct
numbers in the corresponding
boxes.

4. Have pupils compare their answers


in pairs first, then check as a class.

5. Pupils then make sentences from


the table.
6. Review and give feedback on
pupils’ written work.

Iii – POST-LESSON 7. Play a word and punctuation un-


jumble game on the board, where
you write a mixed up sentence on
the board and pupils should put the
words and punctuation in the
correct order to make a sentence.
Play as a whole class and then in
groups if time allows.
