HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT 2

The New Job

It is evident that the firm is located in New York and its getting a rapid growth or

expansion. This means that due to the increased rate of expansion, it is not possible that the

limited employee at the firm will be able to handle the errands of the company. This means that

the firm is needed to hire more employees in order to fill the gap that is evident at the company.

The company has 10 employee who, eight of them are working has marketing assistants, one of

them is working as the department manager and the other of the employee is working as the

assistant manager (Chaneta, 2014). The eight marketing assistants are very busy and do not have

a chance to support of help the assistant manager. They are supposed to help the assistant

manager but because of the increased tasks due to the expansion, they are not able to help.

Job Creation Recommendation

It is clear from the case study that the new job to be created is that of the operational manager.

He or she should be there to support the assistant manager as well as to make sure that the

operations of the firm are in order: below are the recommendations for the new job creation:

i. Ascertaining and evaluating the accountable payable as well as the account receivables

ii. Book keeping and ticketing will be handy

iii. Filing and reporting of the firms records will also be key

Employees Competencies Required

Despite the fact that new job position calls for reliable and effective member, it is vital to make

sure that the employee filling the position is competent enough to handle the tasks designed for

that job. The below are the job specifications for that post:

ii. Should be one that is ready to fill and undertake report taking

iii. Should have the best written and spoken English

iv. Should have the best skills and knowledge in accounting

Ideas for New Position

The ideas for the new position is to check on the operations of the firm, but this translates

to many other detailed ideas such as acting as a bridge between the marketing assistants and the

department manager as well as with the assistant manager. He or she should also understand that

there is need to make sure that the task entails many time taking concerns and work is done for

more than 9-10 hours a day (Sarma, 2017). In addition, it is vital for the operational manager to

know that he or she will be paid less than 1500 dollars a month for his or her service to the firm.

Challenges for Recommended Job Position

The main challenge is time needed to undertake the recruitment and selection process to

get the new employee on board. The other challenge is undertaking a reliable background check

to make sure that the certificates from the applicants are genuine as well as other personal

details. However, it is wise to make sure that the firm gets a consultant firm to undertake this

process for them to make it easy and less costly.

Summary/Conclusions

Finally, it is evident that the new position needed is to have an operational manager on board.

This will help reduce the over tasking of the other employee such as the assistant manager.

However, the process should be open and fair for a better employee to be got.
