Agenda

1. Regular Meeting

 All faculty member of the Computer Department agreed to have a regular meeting every 1st and 3rd
week of the meeting. The preferred day would be Friday from 2:00 to 5:00

2. Consultation Room Occupancy and Faculty Room 5S

 The faculty have agreed to organize their respective table. The 2 members of the faculty namely Mr.
Santiago F. Octavo and Ms. Jermaine Tarriela has ask assistance to find a vacant locker. This issue
was addressed immediately

3. Prelim Examination:
 The member of the faculty were diligently reminded about the rules and policies administering the
preliminary examination. The faculty were also reminded to lessen the number of INC during
prelims, it has come to my attention that we have incurred a lot of INC during Prelims.

4. Scan Test Machine


 The department were reminded to use the SCANTROUGH Machine regarding the preliminary
exams. Ms. Diana R. Lachica has pointed the number of faculty and since it was a priority based the
faculty has agreed not to use the mention but for latter consideration in finals.

5. Departmentalized Exam
 A long discussion was given to if the department would like to implement a departmentalized exam.
Mr Victor Repatacodo has pointed that a departmental exam requires a lot of strategic planning and
that the amount of time is quite short to implement this type of exam. Mr. Eleuterio Tamon has
pointed that the Laboratory could not accommodate the number of students if the said exam is to be
implemented for laboratory subjects. Ms. Diana R. Lachica has pointed that the we are teaching a
general education subject and the time allotted of 1:00 to 2: 00 PM is quite short to accommodate all
students. The department has agreed not to conduct Departmentalized Exam but would consider
doing so in the next semester

6. 2nd Semester Schedule


 The members of the faculty were reminded that the number of enrolees would significantly dropped
next semester, they were also instructed to save financially specifically the new faculty were given
advised about this matter

7. Finals Examination
 The faculty were given instruction for finals examination that the regular scheduled shall be the on to
follow for finals examination and also that there would be no more 2 hours examination. Ms. Diana
R. Lachica asked if the faculty could stay in their respective table if the exams would finished early.
The faculty was reminded that they need to stay in the room and wait for the checkers, they were also
instructed to submit all rubrics and finals requirement a week before the final exam scheduled.

8. Faculty Seminar
 The faculty was reminded that the faculty seminar would be conducted on August 20 and September
3 and attendance is a must. Unfortunately the new members of the faculty could not attend the
seminar since there would be a conflict involving their Licensure Emanation for Teachers review
class.

9. Faculty Library Representative


 Mr Victor Nilo T. Repatacodo and Mr. Chito M. Facelo was assigned as the department
representative for the library committee. Mr Victor Nilo T. Repatacodo for Non – Technical Course
and Mr. Chito M. Facelo would be the representative for the Technical Course

1. RUBRICS STANDARD
 As per last meeting the department has opted to set the next semester to standardize the Laboratory
Rubrics. Ms. Diana R. Lachica has pointed out that there are no issues regarding the last PACUCUA
Inspection. The faculty was also reminded that a new curriculum that would cater to students needs is
needed , hence we have agreed to strategic plan this rubrics by the next semester first month

2. Diagnostic Test
 As per instruction of Sir Naval a diagnostic test was proposed, again quite a number of faculty has
certain issues regarding implementing this diagnostic test since it involve Pre Test and Post Test for
this type of exam. We have decided to carefully plan this matter and implement it this next semester.

3. Grade Incentive (Prelims)


 The faculty has welcomed the news that we were able to accomplish prompt submission and is
eagerly waiting for their grade incentive of 200 pesos

4. Computer Department Equipment


 The faculty has created an inventory and has requested for additional VGA Cable, and Projector Rack
to better maintain the department equipment. Mr. Eleuterio Tamon has pointed out the need for a
projector rack and additional cables since a lot of computers has technical glitches involving this
cable. The request would then be addressed by next semester prior to procurement planning.

5. PICS Membership and Affliation


 The PICS ( PATTS Innovative Computer Society ) Advisers namely MS. Diana R. Lachica, Mr.
Chito M. Facelo and Mr. Victor Repatacodo were dutifully reminded to renew the organization
afflitaion with PCS ( Philippine Computing Society ) and CSP ( Computer Society of the
Philippines) . The advisers has promised to renew this membership.

 The faculty has addressed this and was able to submit the prelims grade promptly

2. Teachers Load
 The department has always practice prioritizing the load according to subject zeal. The department
was able to submit Subject Matrix Zeal Prior to deadline.

3. FACULTY Seminar
 The department was reminded about the faculty seminar entitled

2. Sexual Harassment and Gender Sensibility ( Sept 3)
Again the new faculty was reminded to submit a letter explaining why they could not attend the said
event.

4. Laboratory Concern
 The faculty was instructed to monitor students at laboratory class, specifically Mr. Eleuterio Tamon
reminded old and new faculty to carefully Log in and monitor Computer Equipment

1. FACULTY DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR


 The faculty was reminded to attend the faculty development seminar, Only Mr. Santiago Octavo was
not able to attend the said seminar

2. Changes of Grades
Ms. Diana R. Lachica has raised the concern of giving out INC grades to students with accounts, this
issues was reseolve through a department quorum that INC shall be given for the time being and must be
change before the Midterm Examination Period. To ensure this policy the faculty was carefully instructed
to sign the permits of student and list the names of the student without permit. They were also instructed
not to Give F.A during Prelim

3. Attendance During Suspension Class


 The department had many concern about this agenda, i.e if the attendace during suspension shall also
be credited in the 16hours policy, the attire was also raise as a concern and workload. Mr. Eleuterio
Tamon has raise this concern and was advice by the OIC to raise the issue in the upcoming PFA
meeting since this would be the right body to address this concern. The department assures to abide
by this memorandum .
