So Nature of Organizations.

So Organizations are creatures because men create them and they need to survive, to grow, or
die. So they are born from the labor or people who create it.
So according to Newstrom and Davis there are three key concepts that explain the nature of
organizations. So first, Organizations are social systems. So people interact as individuals and
groups and they make up the organization. So social and psychological laws govern the activities
of the people within. So it is a network of people that work together, that are affected by the
others, and affect the others. So There are group dynamics within yet the members are also
individuals with their own aspirations in life and an open system because its environment affects
the internal workings of the organization.
So the second concept is Organizations are formed on the basis of mutual interest. So People
who come together to formalize and give structure to their common interests and People
normally come together because they have something in common and such common interest is
assumed to produce mutual benefits for all. So Mutual benefit could not be possible without the
collaboration of people and Continued enjoyment of such mutual benefits can only be facilitated
by the formation of an organization. So People in the organization create policies and procedures
to ensure order within and they create positions so that authorities and relationships may be
defined.
So the third is Organizations treat employees ethically. So Because of the nature of people within
the organization, it is also in the nature of organizations that people are dealt with ethically and
The employees should not be treated as if they are just workhorses. So Employers can use people
to meet their objectives but they should not forget that the employees have aspirations as well
and Employers should also provide for the development of the people and give them
opportunities to improve themselves and their lot because it is possible for employers who have
knowledge in organizational behavior to manipulate their employees to do more for the
organization and not be concerned of their welfare.
So It cannot be assumed that every individual in the organization will automatically or
consistently align to the common goal. So The process of Socialization actually allows a new
employee time to consider whether they should stay or leave the organization and The
incompatibility of goals can cause the new employee to leave or the organization to ask the
individual to leave.
