your wrath is past, that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me!

Jeremiah 7:31 And they go on building the high place of Topheth, which is in the valley of
the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire-- which I did not com-
mand, nor did it come into my mind. 32 Therefore, the days are surely coming, says the
LORD, when it will no more be called Topheth, or the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the
valley of Slaughter: for they will bury in Topheth until there is no more room.

Matthew 5:20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and
Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 21 "You have heard that it was
said to those of ancient times, 'You shall not murder'; and 'whoever murders shall be liable
to judgment.' 22 But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be
liable to judgment; and if you insult a brother or sister, you will be liable to the council; and
if you say, 'You fool,' you will be liable to the hell of fire. 23 So when you are offering your
gift at the altar, if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24
leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister,
and then come and offer your gift. 25 Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you
are on the way to court with him, or your accuser may hand you over to the judge, and the
judge to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison. 26 Truly I tell you, you will never get
out until you have paid the last penny. 27 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not
commit adultery.' 28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust has al-
ready committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it
out and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole
body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw
it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to go into
hell.

Matthew 10:27 What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered,
proclaim from the housetops. 28 Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the
soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Mark 9:43 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life
maimed than to have two hands and to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. 44 45 And if
your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life lame than to have
two feet and to be thrown into hell., 46 47 And if your eye causes you to stumble, tear it
out; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and
to be thrown into hell,

James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is placed among our members as a world
of iniquity; it stains the whole body, sets on fire the cycle of nature, and is itself set on fire
by hell.

NRS Revelation 19:20 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet
who had performed in its presence the signs by which he deceived those who had
received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were
thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of
fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tor-
mented day and night forever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and the
one who sat on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place
was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the
throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life.
And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. 13
And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead
that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done. 14 Then
Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the
lake of fire; 15 and anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life
was thrown into the lake of fire.

Luke 16:19 "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and
who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate lay a poor man named
Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from
the rich man's table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores. 22 The poor
man died and was carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man
also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was being tormented, he looked
up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side. 24 He called out, 'Father
Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water
and cool my tongue; for I am in agony in these flames.' 25 But Abraham said,
'Child, remember that during your lifetime you received your good things, and Laza-
rus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in agony.
26 Besides all this, between you and us a great chasm has been fixed, so that
those who might want to pass from here to you cannot do so, and no one can cross
from there to us.' 27 He said, 'Then, father, I beg you to send him to my father's
house-- 28 for I have five brothers-- that he may warn them, so that they will not
also come into this place of torment.' 29 Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and
the prophets; they should listen to them.' 30 He said, 'No, father Abraham; but if
someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' 31 He said to him, 'If they
do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even if
someone rises from the dead.'"
