Concordia University – Teaching Assistant (September 2018 – Present)

• Assisting Professor Anne Wade in the Department of Education with her Information Literacy
Skills course.
• Providing assessment and feedback support.

Tamalpais High School – Teacher (August 2015 – June 2017)

• Responsible for all teaching duties for 9th grade Humanities, 10th grade World History, 11th
grade US history, 12th grade Contemporary Issues.
• CORE Teacher, JSA Advisor, 2018 Class Advisor, Equity Team
• Restorative Justice Club/Program Advisor. Worked with students to create a program to repair
community harm on campus. Coordinated with local experts to secure student/teacher/admin
training and guidance in the approach, leading to full implementation on campus.
• Implemented a Digital Literacy Unit for all students which included evaluating and citing
online source materials, effective search practices, navigating social media, and digital ethics.
• Took advantage of our Google School designation by using Classroom and Google Suite,
providing students with online access to all of their documents and presentations. In addition,
trained students to use Google Docs for project collaboration and peer editing.
• Recognized the engagement potential of different forms of social media and technologies
leading to Snapchat study games, Quizlet test supplements, Kahoot review Monday's,
Instagram homework reminders, etc.
• Wrote and awarded a $10,000 grant to secure 35 Chromebook computers for my classroom.

Maria Carrillo High School – Teacher (August 2013 – June 2015)

• Responsible for all teaching duties for 12th grade Government/Economics, 10th grade Modern
World History, and 9th grade Humanities Core courses.
• Developed student centered, multimodal curriculum for all courses. Including modified
instruction for the Humanities Support Cluster.
• Oversaw the Cyber High program for two years. Aided 100+ students in making up credits in a
range of courses using digital curriculums. Significantly improved the programs efficiency.

Montgomery High School – Teacher (August 2012 – June 2013)

• Responsible for all teaching duties for both 11th grade U.S. History and 10th grade Modern
World History courses. Including modified instruction for the schools only SDAIE/Sheltered
history course.
• Taught a yearlong after school Credit Recovery in History course. Created a wide-ranging
curriculum that covered World, U.S., Econ., and Civics topics and included weekly inquiry and
Socratic Seminars.
• Key Club Advisor: Oversaw club activities, aided in treasury duties, participated in offsite
community service projects.

Small Town Comedy Festival – Founder/Operator


(April 2012 – August 2015)
• Creator of a small business that produced a yearly comedy festival in Healdsburg, CA. Brought
up to thirty comics from the Los Angeles area for the multiday/multi-venue events, over 1000
guest attendees during the second and third years.
• Oversaw promotion, talent booking, budgeting, transportation/housing for talent, cross-
branding opportunities, stagecraft, and ticketing.
• Produced a profit all three years and sold business at a profit.

Healdsburg Unified School District – Teacher

• Volunteered on farms and in agricultural communities in Argentina to help promote, develop,


and further practices of organic farming and sustainable living.
• Helped to create a fresh food cooperative to provide healthy school lunches in a rural school
district.

Yelp! – Account Manager (January 2008 to September 2008)

• Surpassed monthly sales goals for each month employed. Managed hundreds of customers per
quarter in the New York territory.
• Trained and managed new sales representatives and worked to create new-hire training
procedures
• Produced sales and marketing spreadsheets on a monthly basis. Reported and lead discussions
in these regards to VP level management.

Service Source Inc. – Senior Sales Rep on the Agile/Oracle Team (December 2006 to
January 2008)

• Surpassed stretch goals for all 4 quarters (over 150% of target). Managed over 150 customers
per quarter with a territory spanning the entire North America customer base. Responsible for
over $12M in annual client revenue
• Promoted to the Senior Sales role within six months of hire date
• Lead weekly conference calls with the Agile client contact (VP of Service Sales). Discussion
topics included gap to forecast, key issues, escalations, and proposed improvements
• Trained all new sales representatives on the Agile/Oracle team

Professional Development and Experience

• UC Berkeley History and Social Science Project (2015-17) Bi-semester training on the
use of Common Core aligned critical thinking methods for the Social Science classroom.
• North Bay International Studies Project: Common Core Advisory Board
(Oct. 2011 – 2014) - 
Collaborated with other North Bay Social Studies teachers and Sonoma
State University faculty on implementing Common Core in our educational community.
Discussed ways to approach the topic of Common Core in our site schools with both fellow
teachers and administrators. Developed strategies to effectively teach Common Core in the
classroom. 

• Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment Program (Fall 2011 – June 2013) Two-
year induction program for all new California teachers with an emphasis on self-observation,
reflection, and improvement of practice. Beginning teachers are formally assessed through a
long-form writing and research piece.
• ENVoY Behavioral Management Training (Fall 2011) – Learned a variety of techniques
for non-verbal forms of classroom management. 

• AVID Tutor (Dec. 2010 – Jun 2011) – Learned and used AVID strategies to aid students
during weekly tutorial sessions, teach and implement Cornell Note taking skills, and guided
effective Socratic seminars.
