Ask 3 children from each level to talk about the animal they found about with the other
classmates.
Assessment (to be done during activity time, who and what will be assessed?)
Students will be assessed on searching about any animal they want through books or IPads, and
then they will write the answers down and draw a picture of the animal.
Reflection WWW/EBI
What went well while planning for this lesson, I tried to write the LOs in a clear and direct way, and
the activities were more child centered. What also I think went well is that I gave them many
examples of heading and subheading where they need to identify it in the pictures I showed them.
First, they didn’t have idea what is heading and subheading, but with the explanation I gave and the
examples from books they understood the concept.
It will be even better if I explained the lesson to them more clearly. And my activities were kind of
student centered, but if I gave them links where they could find all the information that the
worksheet was asking it will be easier for them.
Behavior management
Their behavior management was good, and the classroom atmosphere was positive because they were all
excited to create their own books.
Groupings/differentiation
I did differentiation for the HA, MA and LA. For the HA and MA they had to choose one animal they
would like to find about him more and solve 6 questions about them, and at the back of the
worksheet they had to draw the animal. For the LA it’s the same activity but they had to solve only 3
questions. Some students were searching for information about the animal they chose but few
students were looking at a picture and guessing the answer and writing it down. That showed me
that I didn’t give clear instruction for the activity.
Next Steps in learning and teaching
There are few steps that I should take into account and work on it in the next lesson which are that I
need to explain the lesson clearly in a way that the student should understand and to work on
activities that are more child centered.
