Explores and begins to distinguish among the sounds of various
musical instruments.
Responds to and appreciates the art, music, movement and
drama of own and other cultures by viewing, discussing and
creating.
Materials:
A variety of 26 different instruments (boom whackers, djembes,
hand drums, jingle bells, claves, etc.)
Process:
1. Set up 26 different instruments in a row.
2. Tell the students that as you read the book, one instrument will play
on each letter. Start from your right to left.
3. Give the students a cue to play and a cue to stop playing when it is
their turn to play their instrument.
