Artifact #4: Pecha Kucha Presentation.

Why did you include this artifact?

Pecha Kucha presentations are a visual slideshow with 20 slides each being presented for

20 seconds with the purpose of educating the viewer on one topic - mine being Attention Deficit

Hyperactivity Disorder. It is a very common disorder needing to be addressed within a

classroom and I wanted to further educate myself on effective classroom management skills to

ensure that all students in my class will have a positive and nurturing experience that encourages

each student to recognize their strengths and capabilities.

How does this artifact show evidence that you are prepared for a career in education?

I chose to include my Pecha Kucha presentation to highlight how I’m able to

accommodate for each individual learner challenges and needs. Throughout the slides my

knowledge of possible modifications and accommodations, along with strategies for

implementation will demonstrate my commitment to ensuring every student learning needs and

abilities are met with thoughtful consideration. Being able to provide each student with the

necessary support and resources creates a cohesive and positive classroom community that

allows each student to feel respected and cared for.

on their own learning and connect it to their life experience. They engage students in activities

that encourage diverse approaches and solutions to issues, while providing a range of ways for

students to demonstrate their abilities and learning. They foster the development of students who

can analyze, synthesize, evaluate and communicate information effectively.
