Developed and taught weekly lessons a 1st grade class of 20 students. Taught daily social studies and science lessons. Utilized Journeys Common
Core Curriculum to teach literacy comprehensive literacy strategies. Learned and used the Eureka curriculum to teach math on a daily basis.
Senior Practicum I: Prep (Equivalent of Kindergarten) Fall 2018
Ambrit International School of Rome, Rome, Italy
Learned and used the Reggio Emilia approach to help set up the classroom. Observed and participated in the beginning of the school year parent
meetings and student activities. Taught morning meeting every day for 5 weeks. Taught 3-4 lessons per week, including math, social studies, science,
and language.
Junior Practicum II: 5th grade Science Spring 2018
Hopewell Elementary School, Hopewell Township, NJ
Developed and taught weekly lessons to four periods of a 5th grade science class, on topics including earth’s patterns, stars, graphing, and ocean
pollution. Taught a two-week, 10-day, unit on the properties of matter of electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and magnetism, culminating in
an engineering design challenge. Utilized Next Generation Science Standards to develop lessons with a focus on cross-cutting concepts,
interdisciplinary practices, and engineering.
Junior Practicum I: PreK Spring 2017
Cranbury Presbyterian Nursery School, Cranbury, NJ
Developed and taught two lessons to twenty-two PreK4 students that encouraged self-expression, inquiry-based learning, and interdisciplinary
learning. Focused on utilizing NAEYC’s Developmentally Appropriate Practice standards while developing meaningful and creative lessons.
Sophomore Practicum II: Preschool Fall 2016
Lambertville Elementary School, Lambertville, NJ
Developed and taught two math and science lessons to seven ESL students, identified as preschool disabled, utilizing Common Core Standards, New
Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards, and Next Generation Science Standards.

Sophomore Practicum I: Grade 1 Fall 2015


Towne Center Elementary School, Plainsboro, NJ
Developed and taught a literacy lesson to a twenty-three first graders. Observed students and assessed a focus child’s reading ability through the use
of Running Records and the San Diego Quick Assessment. Utilized Omnibus Guidelines and anecdotal records to assess the general development of
a focus student.

Work Experience
Community School Youth Assistant, Mercer Street Friends (NJ Bonner AmeriCorps), Trenton, NJ October 2017-August 2018
Serve as a student liaison at both, Rivera Community Middle and Gregory Community Elementary Schools., facilitating academic
programming during and after school. Serve as a mentor to students who are identified as chronically absent in the Check and Connect
Program. Organize an after-school math-tutoring program weekly. Teach an hour-long life skills class to a self-contained classroom of
nine students weekly.
Assistant Teacher, KinderCare Learning Center, Flemington, NJ February 2015-January 2018
Responsible for care of children ages six weeks to eight years. Work with lead teachers to develop lesson plans that follow the
company’s curriculum. Communicate with parents about their children’s day. Assess children’s development using appropriate
Brigance testing and communicate results to parents.
