Following a putrid odour plaguing Strathmore


Page 15 for months, Waste Management recently divert-
ed roughly 90 per cent of their inbound feed-
stock and is working on decreasing more of its
compost piles to reduce the smell.
For months, residents dealt with a strong
odour that quickly earned the name “Wheezy
Wednesday.”
In turn, Waste Management acquired addition-
al equipment this year, purchased larger blower
equipment to upgrade the air systems, extend-

December 18, 2018 Holiday Train Comes to Gleichen
For the very first time, the CP Holiday Train will be making a stop in
Wheatland County will consider the following applications for Public Hearing
at the regular Council meeting on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. Gleichen on Friday, December 7th from 9:55 p.m. to 10:30
p.m..
The following public hearings begin at 9 a.m. and proceed
until all applications have been heard: This is a great opportunity to donate to the food bank, get out into
the community and also to see some great performances by Terri
