1. The personal statement must be written by the applicant himself or herself and must frankly describe the
applicant’s abilities, characteristics, experiences, etc. based on facts.
2. When requested to confirm the factuality of the contents described in the personal statement, the applicant
must cooperate actively.
3. Similarity searches are conducted on the submitted personal statement in order to verify the presence of
plagiarism, proxy authorship, inclusion of falsehood, and/or any other acts of dishonesty. If and when such
facts are discovered, the applicant will be disqualified and may have his or her admission revoked even after
being accepted.
