Seek an Audience (AS)
This action may be required by a GM to meet with various
NPC’s in the world. You can also request a meeting to get a
RP session on Discord with a GM as well. Seeking an
audience requires a DC 15 Traditions check modified by your
reputation. Your cultural attitude will determine how high up
you can arrange a meeting or how influential the NPC is.
If you are Favored, you can expect to meet with the highest
official in the region. If you are neutral, you can expect to meet
with a low-level bureaucrat. You can slowly climb the chain of
command or find better NPC with each successful action you
take. Being Neutral to a culture would take four successful
actions to be considered Favored and meet with a top level
official or the best merchant in the area. Here are some
common examples of people you can meet and what they can
do.
Leader: will allow you to get permission to build in a
sanctuary; request aid in exchange for allegiance or a quest;
setup a trade route; etc
Lore Master: pay for something to be researched; find an area
where a rare tier 3 material may reside; get strengths and
weakness on a specific foe or monster; get a map to a
dungeon
Merchant: get something from a merchant they do not
normally sell; find a buyer for a high cost item
Players are free to come up with other people they wish to
meet to get a goal met. Meeting with someone may still require
payment or a favor to get what you want.
Sell stuff
You go to the weekly market and sell off gear gained by
adventuring or crafting to NPC’s at 50% value
