GOAL # 1: To more effectively, efficiently, and consistently assess students during the entirety
of each unit

Discuss ideas and strategies with PE department colleagues, mentors, admin and

Try varying strategies in assessment throughout the practicum to find the
strategies that work best for me, as well as each class
Research PE assessment strategies online to find new strategies to try

Have a clear understanding and increased confidence in my ability to perform
student assessment during and after each unit
Have more strategies to pull from when assessing different classes under varying
situations
My use of different assessment strategies that work for me will result in more
accurate and less subjective assessment of students
GOAL # 2: To increase subject specific content knowledge in a variety of subjects
relating to physical education
STRATEGIES
Discuss ideas, clarifications, and share resources with PE department colleagues,
mentors, admin and TM
Research sport/activity specific rules, technique online and using related
textbooks
Consult prior unit plans and keep new unit/lesson plans for future referral
Applying various memorization and cueing mechanisms using objects such as
sticky notes, whiteboards, etc. to remind me of content knowledge during lessons

Can I explain content in more ways than one to adapt to various learners?
How often do I rely on notes/cues in content knowledge during a lesson?
