A Memory

I walked down to the beach last night.

The Memory is a part of me,
it ebbs and flows like some Great Lake.

I walked down to the beach last night.

The stars burned bright,
like lost promises of infinite count.

I walked down to the beach last night.

I stood upon the rocks,
and questioned, yet heard no response.
.
I walked down to the beach last night.
To the edge of the world,
that Place of Void.

I walked down to the beach last night.

I thought I could fly, float away,
lose myself in the sway of the nothingness.

I walked down to the beach last night.

Existence opened up to me,
and I drank deep from her sorrows.

I walked down to the beach last night.

I thought I left,
but I think I stayed.
