Yale Christmas Parade

On December 8th, Yale MI had its annual
Christmas parade. The parade was great as
having beautiful lights and some of the floats
were very outstanding.
I wish there were more floats for it would
have been more enjoyable, also all the floats
were not very close together like they would be.
Though the night was not very cold, it was lit
up and wonderful.

How To Make Toffee

Toffee is a delicious snack and is very
easy to make.
First, line a sided sheet pan with a silicone
baking mat or cover the pan with vegetable oil.
Next, pour sugar into the middle of a sauce pan
that’s fitted with a candy thermometer.
Pour water around the edge of the pan and wait
to allow the water to moisten the sugar.
Add corn syrup and bring it to a boil.
Add butter and boil until the mixture reaches
300 degrees F.
Turn off the heat and whisk in the cocoa then
mix nuts in.
Quickly pour the mixture in the prepared pan
and let it spread out
Wait until its cooled and hardened.
After it hardens pry it out of the pan and break
it into many large pieces.

Santa Tulle Wreath Tutorial

Needs: 5​0 yards of ​white tulle ON A SPOOL
(less yardage, obviously, if it’s from a bolt),
cut to 15″ pieces
● 12″ wreath form
● 1 adult sized santa hat
● 1 scrap piece of ribbon and needle and
thread
● Hot glue gun, scissors, pen
Directions:
1. Based on size of wreath form on Santa
hat. place the hat on your wreath and
mark where each side ends on the
wreath. Then you’ll tie your tulle
around to those marks.
2. (If like) it doesn’t hurt to quickly wrap
some white tulle around it
3. planning to add mustache to Santa
wreath, wrap/tie a piece of tulle around
the wreath.
4. For mustache, cut the remaining 15″
tulle strips in half. Then tie them around
the piece of tulle you wrapped around
the middle of the wreath. Again, a
simple knot is all it takes.
5. Finally, use your glue gun to secure the
hat onto the wreath.

Fun Activities For New Years Day

Years Eve. You can get a bottle of sparkling
grape juice and your friends can pop it open at
Twelve O'clock. Also you could play Tic Tac.
Tic Tac players will transfer one Tic Tac to an
empty bowl using tweezers The goal is to get
as many Tic Tacs into the empty bowl in the
limited time. For the game ​final countdown ​you
will need 39 cups one color, and one cup a
different color. Participants will start with the
different color on the bottom of the stack of 40
cups . When the timer starts you will only be
able to move one cup to the bottom of the stack
until the cup with a different color will end up
at the bottom the the stack, just like it was
when you started . Whoever does it the fastest
wins the game.

reindeer, blindfold and a red nose. The first
person that goes will be blindfolded and
somebody will hand that person the red nose,
spin them around five times and let them go
and try too pin the nose on the rudolph. If you
have a lot grandkids or kids you can put
everybody's name into a hat. Each kid or adult
will draw a name out of a hat, and that person
will get the person a Christmas present. This is
good idea if you have a lot of people to buy for.
 Exploding Gift!

Tis the season of giving, so why not
give close family or friends a very personal gift,
exploding gift! It’s very easy to make and is a
very lovely gift to give to the people you care
about. Materials that you will need are:
● 4 large pieces of cardstock
● Scissors
● Glue
● Photos of you and your present
receiver
Now that you have all of your materials,

let's show you how to make it!
1. Grab one of your cardstock and
cut it into a large square. (12
inches)
2. Measure in by 4 inches on each
side and draw a line across until
you have it in a 3 by 3 area, or a
total of 9 even boxes.
3. On each on the boxes on the
corners, cut in about ⅔’s of the
way on the line and turn that
square into a heart.
4. Repeat steps on two more sheets
of cardstock but without the heart
corner, just cut of the corner
squares. (11 inches and 10 inches)
5. Glue the smallest ones middle box

6. Glue the picture of you and your

with stickers to make it that much
more personal.

1. First, you need to use the black sharpie to draw
its face on. Two dots on the top for the eyes, and
about four dots on the bottom, making a curved
line to look like a smile.
2. Next, cut a piece of red pipe cleaner to exactly
2.5” long.
3. Now put two little glue dots one each side of the
candle. Push one pom-pom on each of the dots.
Put a small line of glue on the top of the candle
to apply the pipe cleaner one, and make sure it’s
secure. The pom-poms and pipe cleaner should
look like ear muffs.
4. Cut the red ribbon to 4.5” and make a circle,
like shown in the picture. Glue the two pieces
together. Now, glue the ribbon to the candle, so
it looks like a scarf. Tie a red ribbon/string to
the pipe cleaner so you can hang the ornament
on the tree. Color the flame orange like a carrot.
